Motorola: BatChat Intranet Launch “Morning Ritual” Video


Motorola Solutions needed a campaign to excite and inform employees about BatChat, their new social intranet with advanced mobile capabilities.


OFC developed the “Morning Ritual” campaign to inspire a new habit of employees visiting BatChat to jumpstart their day. We filmed a documentary following a diverse slate of 5 employees, including Greg Brown, Motorola Solutions CEO. Cameras captured each employee during their unique morning rituals, which included walking the dog, hitting the gym, and commuting via train. Each employee showcased a different aspect of the BatChat interface on their phone or tablet (search, news, blog, etc) and how the site has become an important part of their day.


The “Morning Ritual” video premiered at the Motorola Solutions Town Hall, grabbing attention and spurring conversation about BatChat, which resulted in adoption rates that exceeded expectations. The campaign also invited all employees to share their morning ritual on BatChat, which continued the launch’s momentum.
