Bristol Myers Squibb: Dropping Knowledge

CHALLENGE

Bristol Myers Squibb, a leading biopharma, is committed to addressing disparities in healthcare and STEM broadly through their company value of Inclusion and commitment to health equity. The Business Insights & Analytics group at BMS sought a way to educate and inspire Middle School and High School students to pursue careers in data analytics.

SOLUTION

OFC created Dropping Knowledge, a video series and classroom experience to spark the imagination of young people to invent the future with STEM, even if they don’t look like those who have succeeded before. OFC conceived the Dropping Knowledge name, designed the logo, produced 4 episodes about data analytics, co-created the classroom curriculum, and built the website at www.droppingseries.com.

RESULT

The program launched at a Middle School in Atlanta to rave reviews by students, teachers, and HBCU student mentors. Dropping Knowledge is now expanding across an array of schools and after-school programs across several states, inspiring thousands of students.
